After fighting several years of health issues, founder Juan Mallory lost his mom in 2015. Her loss turned his heart towards seeking a way to honor his mother and make her proud. Throughout out her life, Juan’s mom opened her door to many friends, so he knew that giving back would definitely make her proud.

Juan started in 2015 sponsoring haircuts and hairdos for about 60 kids at a local elementary. Although this was a great start, he still felt a tug to do more in an effort to help families in the community. This was when he reached out to those who lived in Brevard County and asked if they would join the work of providing backpacks to students. Ask and you shall receive because with the help of some (angels), Dot’s Angels completed and delivered 100 backpacks to local students on their first day of school.

Today our number has increased to several hundred. We also have teamed with a local nursing facility to provide Christmas gifts to their residents. The joy of knowing his mom would be proud and ultimately seeing the kids/elderly smile are the heart of why Juan started the non-profit.
